The Gladstone Police Department is accepting applications for police officer from both recruits and lateral officers in order to establish a hiring list. Applications will be accepted continuously, with the first review expected to take place about March 17, 2017.

One or two openings are anticipated in 2017. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply early.

Applicants must be a US citizen, possess a valid driver’s license for state of residence and be at least 21 years of age. Appointment is subject to an extensive background investigation, psychological examination and medical/drug screen. The City of Gladstone is an EEO employer.

Eligible applicants will be invited to take the POST and ORPAT tests at a date to be announced later.  Applicants successfully completing those tests will then be placed on the eligibility list for up to one year. If an opening occurs, those on the eligibility list will be invited to continue in the process.  POST &/or ORPAT transfer scores will not be accepted.
