Finance
The Finance department provides financial statements and supporting schedules that are compliant with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America (GAAP) and meet the requirements of the standards as prescribed by the Secretary of State.
Budget
The City of Gladstone adopts a budget to guide its decision making and execution of its operating and capital plans. The budget is prepared at the direction of the City Administrator to address the goals and objectives of the City Council and fulfill service level expectations of its citizens and customers.
Accounting
The areas of responsibility that fall under the Finance Department include: utility payments and billing, accounting, municipal court, accounts payable, accounts receivable, debt service, city budgeting, auditing, and financial reporting.
