Burning Regulations

The entire city of Gladstone is within the Portland Metropolitan " no burn area " (see map below).

 

Outdoor burning (of trash, construction materials, vegetation cuttings, storm debris, ect.) is not allowed in the city limits of Gladstone at any time.

Small outdoor cooking, warming, or recreational fires are allowed within this "no burn area" . This includes portable fire pits, burning only dry, cut firewood. Propane or natural gas fire pits or tables, barbeque grills, pizza ovens and smokers with briquettes, wood chips, pellets, or propane are also allowed. Recreational fires and any portable fireplaces shall be constantly attended until fire is extinguished. A fire extinguisher, garden hose or other approved on-site fire extinguishing equipment shall be available for immediate use. Reference : 2019 Oregon Fire Code Section 307

Burning of prohibited can be a fire hazard and expose you and your neighbors to toxic smoke and fumes.
