Economic Development
A small-town community, the Historic city of Gladstone boasts beautiful parks, miles of bicycling and walking along the historic Trolley Trail and riverfront, and easy access to the incredible waterways of the Willamette and Clackamas Rivers.
Nestled between its larger neighbors Oregon City and Milwaukie, the 99E corridor, brings public transportation to Gladstone’s doorstep. Home to just over 12,000 residents, convenient access to public transportation and natural resources make Gladstone a wonderful community to live in or do business. Located just 8 short miles from Portland, Gladstone is conveniently located with easy access to metropolitan locations and daily work commutes for big city options while its residents enjoy living in a city filled with small town charm.
Gladstone has three business districts: Downtown Gladstone (Portland Avenue), the McLoughlin Corridor, and 82nd Drive. The North Clackamas Chamber of Commerce, the city of Gladstone, and the downtown "Connected Communities" program, partner to offer resources and support to businesses.
