Daily Programs

~ Hot lunch. Lunch is served in the Bloye Dining Hall on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11:30 am. The suggested donation is $4 for those aged 60 and above, or $5 for individuals under 60. The meal included 1 trip salad bar, a hot lunch, a drink, and dessert. Click here for the monthly menu

~ Tai Chi is held every Monday and Wednesday. Beginner class from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm,  intermediate from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, and advanced from 9:00 am to 10:00 am  

~ Bingo is held every Tuesday from 1 pm to 3 pm

~ Rummikub, scrabble, cribbage, and board games every Tuesday from 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm

~ Low Impact Chair Exercise held at the Center every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 am to11:30 am

~ Shopping trips and rides every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. call 24 hrs ahead for pick-up

~ Pinochle from 12:45 pm to 3:45 pm every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 

~ Rummikub, scrabble, cribbage, and board games every Thursday from 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm

Home Delivered Meals (HBM)

The Community Center continues providing meals to homebound clients residing in Gladstone. If you or someone you know is age 60 or older and requires nutritional assistance, you qualify to receive this benefit. Please contact the Community Center and ask for Michelle Prusso at 503-655-7701.

FIDO/AniMeals

Fido/AniMeals (Friends involved in Dog Outreach). Our AniMeals program teams up with HBM to deliver pet food once a month to the Community Center for recipients who often are at risk of sacrificing their own nutrition to feed their pet companions. This also reduces the necessity of relinquishing their pet(s), which is akin to losing a family member and is especially depressing to our senior population. Transportation

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Passengers must be at least 60 years of age (or Medicaid-verified) and shall be self-reliant or be accompanied by a personal escort during transport. Wheelchair passengers must notify Center staff prior to the trip. Seat belts are required to be worn at all times. No smoking or consumption of food or drink is allowed while in the Center transport vehicle; please refrain from unnecessarily talking with the driver, making loud noises, or demonstrating distracting behaviors.

TRANSPORTATION FEES:

For day trips, a donation of $2.00 is requested for each one-way trip ($4.00 round trip). No one will be denied service because of an inability to donate towards the actual cost.

RIDE REQUESTS:

Ride requests for Gladstone residents are taken by a Center volunteer receptionist beginning at 9:00 am Monday-Friday; the schedule is subject to holiday closure. Call 503.655.7701.

Day trips are to be scheduled 24 hours in advance 

Medical appointment ride requests are to be scheduled 48 hours in advance. Passengers should schedule their appointment time between 10:30 am and 2:00 pm. Please let staff know the length of the appointment as the Driver will not attend the appointment with the Passenger. The Passenger must be available for pickup from the appointment by 3:30 pm

Destinations include the Center for lunch or activities, local salons, banks, and shopping as well as other destinations inside the city limits of Gladstone and around the area of Willamette Falls Hospital in Oregon City as well as Kaiser facilities in the Sunnyside area.
