Glad to be Here!

A small-town community, the Historic city of Gladstone boasts beautiful parks, miles of bicycling and walking along the historic Trolley Trail and riverfront, and easy access to the incredible waterways of the Willamette and Clackamas Rivers.

Gladstone has three business districts: Downtown Gladstone (Portland Avenue), the McLoughlin Corridor, and 82nd Drive. The North Clackamas Chamber of Commerce, the city of Gladstone, and the downtown "Connected Communities" program, partner to offer resources and support to businesses.

Sustainable City Year Program Partnership

The City of Gladstone is partnering with the University of Oregon through its Sustainable City Year Program (SCYP) to support local economic development efforts. This partnership connects Gladstone with faculty and graduate students who provide research, analysis, and project support to help advance City goals related to economic vitality, downtown revitalization, tourism promotion, and community engagement.

Through SCYP, the City can explore opportunities such as redevelopment planning, business support strategies, and data-driven approaches to strengthening the local economy. This work complements ongoing initiatives, including the formation of the Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC) and projects focused on Portland Avenue and other key areas of the community.
