Welcome to Gladstone Parks!

Park Rules/Regulations: Park rules are primarily intended to preserve a safe and enjoyable environment for the general public and to protect parks and park facilities from damage. Park rules are described in detail in Chapter 12.12 of the Gladstone Municipal Code.  Summaries of park rules are posted at entries and within the parks.

  • Pets are welcome, but must be leashed – and please clean up after your pets.
  • Alcohol is prohibited in all Gladstone Parks and park sports fields.
  • Smoking and Vaping any substance is prohibited in all Gladstone Parks and sports fields.
  • No firearms or fireworks are allowed.
  • You are responsible for your litter. Please leave parks clean for others to enjoy.  Dumping of household trash, waste or materials is prohibited in all Gladstone Parks.

Park Hours: All city parks are open to the public daily.  Parks are closed between one hour past sunset through one hour before sunrise each day.  Park trails that parallel a public street or road are excluded from the park closure hours.

Shelter Use:  Reservations are not required to reserve covered shelters or picnic tables at any Gladstone parks for picnics or birthday parties – picnic tables and covered shelters are available on a first come, first served basis.  When using a park, please note that inflatable jumpers, such as bouncy houses, and climb-on play equipment, such as rock climbing walls, are not permitted in Gladstone parks.

Park Maintenance: The goal of the City’s park maintenance is to provide safe and attractive facilities for our residents and visitors to use and enjoy. Our maintenance schedules and procedures are based on the standards and frequencies our residents have come to expect. During the year, our park’s maintenance staff work cooperatively with volunteer groups, youth sports organizations and many other local groups. Through these cooperative efforts our maintenance crews are able to establish ongoing relationships and digest valuable input and ideas from the community.

If you have questions or concerns regarding Park Maintenance, please contact Gladstone Public works at 503.656.7957 or email the office at PWOffice [at] ci.gladstone.or.us (PWOffice[at]ci[dot]gladstone[dot]or[dot]us)
