THE NEW GLADSTONE PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY
The City of Gladstone is excited to share the new Public Works facility with the residents of Gladstone!
The Public Works facility is not brand new, it was determined that the existing shop could be brought up to structural code requirements, providing a functional and comfortable operations center that met the city's budget. The existing shop was taken down to the steel frame, re-cladded with energy efficient insulated metal panels to maximize natural light. The facility includes a conference room, administration offices, crew rooms, a staff breakroom with both indoor and outdoor seating options, a kitchenette, a gender-neutral locker room and a bright welcoming lobby. The facility includes pre-existing shop spaces and is considered critical infrastructure. As such, a generator was installed to support both the operations building and the shop area.
